Between my initial dry run of speech 4 and the final draft, I felt there was a stark difference in delivery. My dry run contained a lot of breaks between sentences, which I felt dragged the speech along, and disrupted the pacing of my speech. I think this was a result of under-rehearsing, which cause me to take a few seconds between sentences. However, in my final version, I felt like I had much smoother transitions from point to point, due to me getting more acquainted with my outline and practicing my speech.
Along with this, I worked on bolstering my introduction a little bit because I completely forgot to introduce myself in my dry run. To follow, I think I still need to work on my introductions and conclusions. I feel like I have gotten better as the class has gone on, but I notice in my feedback that this is something that constantly gets brought up. So, in the following weeks, I am going to pay extra attention to those aspects of my speeches.
