After receiving some feedback on my speech, I got some really helpful responses from my peers on what I could do to better my speech. I received both some positive and constructive feedback on the things that were going well, and what could be improved on. To begin, I was told that my tone of voice and that me lighting/camera setup was good. Apperantly it helped set a nice atmosphere to the speech. With that being said, my introduction and could use some work. Two of my peers mentioned how I was too brief in my introduction, which I hindsight, I totally see now. Also, I was told that it would be beneficial if I explained what the object was in a little more depth. This was something I really overlooked in my speech. I had mainly been focusing on the attributes of the object, rather than the object’s actual purpose. Which may have lent itself towards some confusion. Furthermore, when it came to wrapping up the speech, I could have benefited from adding a more declarative closing statement. Maybe by just summarizing my points, or something to that effect, it could have gone a long way in wrapping everything up.
