Shade of the Abyss Pt.1

From the distance, in a backdrop
I see your cooling slate grey eyes
your fair hair of faultless order
like meticulously placed rays of light
you seem so real, electric and radiant
yet so bitter and chronically impure

encompassing the abstract
you embody an ideal
that will leave no man intact
for you live only as an idea
in a selfish mind
and only appear

in the corner of one’s eye
perfectly incomprehensible
I plead to never see you again
one can only hope to forget you
for this I will escape you
to leave you empty and adorned

Shade of the Abyss Pt.2

This seething shroud of virtue
hung to mask your stigma
while you live in the corner
and trickle into the shadows
until you bend out of sight
praising the fault of your glory
trying to obscure your might

in the power of your vacant presence
I can still see you, even so far away
your hair drifts like a sunken net
weaved in pristine purpose
to catch me in your depths
and pull me from sleep
to leave me in a darkened expanse

you reach to me, to sink my sanity
to drown me, in my own sanctity
you tare open my eyes
to your blinding vision
attempting to bind this division
I wither and fall from your grasp
whilst you dissolve in a pale memory
