While reading Hiroshima and the Inheritance of Trauma by Sarah Stillman, I mainly focused on identifying key terms, taking notes on the piece, and marking important quotations. Within my annotations and notations, I mainly focused on the transcendence of trauma through not only the individual, but also the role trauma also plays within a family. Furthermore, that trauma does not simply occur, it manifests and can directly and indirectly spread to others. Along with this, trauma does not have a “cure”, it acts like a disease, a syndrome. That constantly effects the lives of many.
